iPhone 5 Will Support 3G & 4G

An analyst said on Monday that the iPhone 5 will support both 3G and 4G after Apple changes supplier for critical silicon.

“We believe the company has selected Qualcomm as its modem supplier for the CDMA iPhone as well as for the iPhone 5, The iPhone 5 will likely use a two-chip modem, allowing the company to create 3G and 4G products.” Ashok Kumar, a managing director and analyst at Rodman & Renshaw.

As the rumors about iPhone 5, Apple’s iPhone 5 will be the first iPhone to support LTE, which is marketed as a 4G technology. And also Kumar pointed that Qualcomm is the next chip supplier for iCDMA based iPhone and iPhone 5.

Kumar also pointed that by 2011 Apple will release its second-generation apple iPad with 7-inch display and front cameras.
