Google search integrates with Google + to suppress Facebook

When Google announced Tuesday he would hold in the search results integrated Google + contents, the network world fell into an uproar. The industry accused it taking the opportunity to suppress Twitter and Facebook competitors.

According to the report, Google will add a " Search Plus Your World " function, in the search results displaying Google + information from the friends. These Google + information would definitely get higher rankings result than other social networking website information . For example, when searching someone's name, the Google + page link is placed in the top search results.

Specializes in Internet law New York law school professor James grimmel Mann in Twitter said: "today is a good day to abandon the Google + and delete the Google Profile. I just did this."

"I don't like it, i don't like this impact to the competition, also i don't like the impact to people's privacy. This obviously oversteped the privacy and public information distinct boundaries." Grimmel Mann said in an interview. He added, a lot of Google users will be integrated such distress, which will make them feel" invasion of privacy".

Google argued that, Facebook does not public information to search engines, so Google can't display the company's content in search results. But the Twitter is not, all of the Twitter information is public, and can be indexed by any search engine, unless the user specifically set it as their privacy.

Facebook and Google don't make any comment. Twitter says in statement, the move has bad impact to Internet users and other stakeholders:" over the years, people have been dependent on Google search to obtain the important content anytime they want on the Internet. People often want to know more world events and breaking news, Twitter has become the important source of this information in real time, every day more than 100 million users around almost every topic sending 250 million messages. After it has been repeatedly demonstrated, breaking news is firstly released in Twitter, it also makes Twitter account and the micro-blog become one of the most important search results. We adjust the search results on Google expressed concern, this will increase substantially all people get real-time information of Twitter difficulty, the mass, publishers, news agencies and Twitter users are negative."

Standford law professor Mark Remley said:" in many areas Google preferred his own service in the search results, I think it will further exacerbate concerns." Remley had previously with Google on other legal issues had cooperation.

With all the enterprises in the process of overall expansion of business, consumers seem to feel the internet isolated risk. Grimmel Mann said:" according to Google 's own benefit, they should continue to concentrate on developing excellent search platform, rather than through search engines and integration to create a good social network."

So, what, oh, what are those little elves at the microblogging service going to show off?

It could be a lot of things, from a new advertising shiny object to the results of recent promoted tweet efforts to updated mobile products.

Or perhaps it is introducing some more video capability into its tweets.

And maybe Twitter bought some pretty little start-up or is annoying a whole new fascist country.

So, because BoomTown always reads to the last page of mysteries to get to the ending first, here is my best spoiler guess of what Twitter could announce: An updated search offering.

Well, at least, I hope the company will finally fill in what has become what I consider to be one of the very biggest holes in its service.

Right now, Twitter’s real-time search engine uses technology from Summize, which it bought in 2008.

And, simply put, it remains pretty lousy–with an index that only holds tweets from a few days and has no massive archive.

In fact, results have been better from others, such as Google and the Microsoft (MSFT) Bing search service, both of which did deals to license Twitter’s flood of tweets about a year ago.

And Google recently upped the ante with its dedicated real-time search offering, made up, in large part, of Twitter’s index archive and including a coolio timeline.

It is long past time for Twitter to keep up here, in terms of simple innovation, given these tweets are its own content.

What would be interesting to see is if Twitter needed the help of a search giant such as Google or Microsoft to help power such a service–sources said its execs had been putting feelers out many months ago on the subject of such aid.

Then again, it could all be home built, too.

In any case, let’s hope Twitter gives its tweets the respect they deserve.

Or else introduces its own mobile device called the Tweetphone that vibrates every time you are mentioned on Twitter.
